5 Hour Surrealism Challenge - Drowning

I was given 5 hours to work on a surrealistic piece as a part of a challenge on the 15th.

Surrealism often has deeper meanings and I wanted to capitalize on this by focusing on mental health and creating an allegory for feeling overwhelmed and stressed. This feeling was captured through depicting a wooden figurine drowning, surrounded by rubber ducks I photo scanned in time- implicating that everything can seem fine on the surface when you're struggling. Also surrounding the figurine are coffins, modelled in blender and textured in substance.

The finished render was passed through FotoSketcher, which simulates brush strokes to get a finished result in the form of a traditional painting or in this case, a watercolour painting. Very happy with the finished product given the short time invested.
